Job Title: RN Surgery
Job Summary:
The RN Surgery is responsible for providing safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. They work closely with the surgical team to ensure that all aspects of patient care are met before, during, and after surgery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patient health before surgery and obtaining informed consent
- Preparing the operating room and equipment for surgery
- Assisting the surgical team during procedures
- Monitoring patient vital signs and addressing any changes or concerns
- Administering medications as needed
- Providing post-operative care and monitoring for complications
- Educating patients and their families on post-operative care instructions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification for some positions
- At least 1 year of experience in a surgical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
